Gothenburg Landvetter Airport was founded back in October 1977 by the King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. A big construction took place in 2013 where the international terminal was extended with new shops. Furthermore, in 2014 the domestic and international terminals were joined into a single joint terminal. Today GOT Airport serves around 6,800,000 passengers each year. The passenger number is still increasing year by year.

The two top domestic destinations includes Stockholm-Arlanda and Stockholm-Bromma that handled over 1,300,000 passengers in 2018. Other top domestic destinations are Visby, Luleaa, Sundsvall, and Umeaa. Whereas some of the top international destinations in 2018 were Great Britain, Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Turkey, Spain, France, Poland, and Greece.

Pick-up

All guests at GOT Airport are asked to use the airport's designated pick up and drop off area when picking up or dropping off passengers. The parking lot at GOT Airport is a great space that gives travelers direct access to the airport terminal with minutes. It can help save time before your next trip, or if you are going to pick up a passenger.

You can find two pick-up spaces at the short-term parking lot at Gothenburg Airport. These are P10 and S1. P10 is located only a 1-minute walk from the airport terminal and S1 just a 3 minutes’ walk from the terminal.

The price is SEK 25 per 30 minutes with a maximum of 2 hours. This is valid for both pick-up spaces. All guests can pay by credit, debit or fuel card in the automated payment machine. There is also the opportunity to pay via ePARK, SMS Park, Parkster, Mobile, and Easypark.

If you are a passenger with special needs or reduced mobility, you are entitled to get special service at Gothenburg Airport. At GOT Airport there will be assigned staff to help assist travelers with disabilities around the clock, every day of the year. However, please make sure that you make a relevant request at least 48 hours prior to the departure of your flight.

Once arriving at the airport, please go to the airline’s check-in point outside the terminal entrance, if you need help in the terminal and assistance at check-in. If not, once you have checked in, the service providers will meet you at a designated meeting point in the terminal.
